Total E&P Bulgaria Presented a Black Sea Coast AlmanacJune, 2017
Total E&P Bulgaria presented a Black Sea Coast Almanac (Sensitivity Mapping and Analysis of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coastal Zone) – the first book in 40 years to describe comprehensively the sensitive areas of the Bulgarian coast. With the PR, events and creative support of M3 Communications Group, Inc. Total presented the book with two successful events in Varna and Sofia.
The Black Sea Coast Almanac has been inspired by Total and created in cooperation with the Institute of Oceanology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The high quality publication with text from scientists, pictures and maps includes information on the environmental status of the Bulgarian coast from Durankulak to Rezovo, including flora and fauna, habitats and archaeological sites. The almanac will be donated to schools, universities, libraries, authorities and NGOs.
„As part of the safety and environmental preparation process of our exploration activity off-shore Bulgaria, we collaborated with the Institute of Oceanology to map the sensitive areas of the Bulgarian Black sea coast.”, Mr. Xavier Faugeras, General Manager of Total E&P Bulgaria, commented. “We then decided together to enrich this work and publish it to share it with the general public.”
The official almanac presentation in Sofia was held at the Residence of the French Embassy under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Eric Lebédel, Ambassador of France to Bulgaria. Officials, academia, scientists, business representatives and politicians attended both events.
