Europe in my region: You Should See Our Vidin!

On April 30, Vidin hosted one of the most exciting events of the European initiative “Europe in My Region” – a large-scale campaign aimed at showcasing the real changes taking place in Bulgarian cities thanks to EU funding. Behind the entire organization – from concept to the smallest detail – stood the team of M3 Communications Group, Inc.

The event began with an official press conference at the renovated Jules Pascin Cultural Center, where representatives of the European Commission, local authorities, and educational institutions shared the story behind Vidin’s transformation in recent years.

The most emotional moment of the day was the launch of the “Vidin Treasure Hunt” game, led by Olympic champion Madelene Radukanova. Forty students from the two newly renovated schools in the city – High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences "Exarch Antim I" and Secondary School "Tsar Simeon Veliki" – joined the adventure, exploring key locations upgraded with EU support.

The campaign slogan – “See our (royal) Vidin!” – couldn’t have been more fitting. The renewed streets, schools, and cultural venues genuinely surprised even locals with how much the city had changed. The event received wide media attention on local, regional, and national levels, with coverage on television, radio, and online platforms.

The treasure hunt continues until May 24 and is open to everyone – with prizes including a bicycle, a dinner by the Danube, and a professional photo session. For us at M3, this was another project that showed how communications can do more than inform – they can create experiences and inspire pride.
