Wizz Air flies even further: Seventh aircraft and seven new destinations from Sofia
August, 2025Lucky number 7 on the horizon! The reason? This week, Wizz Air has announced a significant expansion of its Sofia base with a seventh aircraft and seven new routes. This expansion is part of the airline's long-term strategy for development in the country, aiming to offer passengers even more opportunities for affordable and convenient travel. The new destinations include Prague, Turin, Lamezia Terme, Chișinău, Palma de Mallorca, Marrakesh, and Warsaw. With these additions, Wizz Air's total capacity from Sofia Airport will increase to 1.29 million seats annually, solidifying the airline's position as a leading carrier in Bulgaria.
The team at M3 Communications was proud to organize and support the official press conference where the news about the new routes was announced. The event, held in partnership with Sofia Airport, brought together key figures such as Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev and Deputy Minister of Tourism Pavlin Petrov. Our mission is to create events that don't just communicate news, but inspire and connect people. The number 7 turned out to be lucky for us! We are happy to be a part of this success and to support our favorite pink client, Wizz Air, with whom we have worked for nearly a decade, in their mission to make travel more accessible and exciting for everyone.
