Wizz Air & M3 Set Sights on Egypt: Pink Future and New Horizons for Sofia

On January 30, 2026, the team of M3 Communications Group, Inc., together withWizz Air and Sofia Airport, had the pleasure of organizing a special media event on the topic of “New horizons for Wizz Air from Sofia: New destinations, more opportunities.”
Wizz Air announced the allocation of an eighth aircraft at its Sofia base and the launch of five new direct routes from Sofia. From the summer of 2026, passengers will be able to fly directly from the Bulgarian capital to Budapest, Palermo, and Rhodes, as well as to the exotic gems of Egypt – Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. In addition, the airline is increasing the frequency of its flights from Sofia to ten of its most popular destinations, strengthening its market share in Bulgaria to an impressive 33% before the start of the summer season.
The event was attended by Andras Szabo, Network Officer at Wizz Air, and Jesus Caballero, CEO of SOF Connect, the operator of Sofia Airport. The team of M3 Communications Group Inc. took care of the overall organization and coordination of the event, including the preparation and implementation of the event concept, media relations, communication and coordination with guests, and on-site logistics during the event.
