October, 2015Today, three promising young Bulgarian female scientists - Dr. Antonia Vulcheva, Dr. Denitsa Teofanova and Dr. Maria Soskova, were awarded national fellowships for their outstanding contribution in the field of science at a glamorous award ceremony, organized by M3 Communications Inc. The fellowships are in the amount of EUR 5,000 each and are provided under the World Program of L'Oreal and UNESCO “For Women in Science”. The fellowships aim to support the research activities of young scientists and encourage their professional development.
“The purpose of these fellowships is to encourage young female scientists to be persistent in what you are dealing with, and to motivate them walk courageously on the path of science. Women, who have dedicated their lives to science, deserve public attention and recognition,” said Brigitte Strellar, General Manager of L'Oreal Bulgaria.
This year “For Women in Science” celebrates its fifth anniversary in Bulgaria. The program is implemented in partnership with Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and the National Commission for UNESCO.
