To have and not to have

To have and not to have

In this over-commercialized world, possessions have gained the status of a cult. To earn, to buy, to live better, to save for rainy days and even for white days. I can't judge whether this is good or not. At the end of the day, everyone's goal is to live better, and different people bring different meanings to that concept. For many, even more books and time to read them is the only criteria for a better life.

After all, not having has always come before having and at the same time is an endless driver of motivation and steps to get what we are striving for. That's why I always think it's a hundred times better to have nothing and be highly motivated to achieve something more than to get it for “free” and not value it enough.

But then again, as you know, troubled times, as these no doubt, breed strong people, and I am sure that they are aware of these maxims. We just expect these strong people to enter politics and govern wisely.
