Maksim Behar: “Viva Bulgaria” Is Musical PR for the Country
June, 2025
“This is not just a song — it’s marketing, PR, a message to the entire world,” Behar said about “Viva Bulgaria”, which positions Bulgaria as a modern, ambitious, and open-minded country through a fresh and inspiring composition.
“I love speaking positively about Bulgaria. Everyone already knows the bad sides — they’re covered in foreign media and on television. But I want to show the country the way I see it — full of good people, strong values, and enormous potential,” he explained.
According to Behar, the song is the result of careful planning. He wrote the lyrics himself and insisted on including a violin in the track — “a beautiful instrument that makes a real impression, even in a rap song,” as he put it. The video clip features a futuristic vision of Bulgaria — filled with skyscrapers, flying cars, and ultra-modern cities. And yet, the iconic Alexander Nevsky Cathedral remains a visible symbol in the background.
“I wanted to show that no matter what changes happen in Bulgaria, the core values remain. I’m not only talking about religion, but something deeper — faith, family, the ability to distinguish right from wrong,” he emphasized.
One of the key messages in the song is:
“People are the greatest asset.”
Behar added: “I’ve traveled almost the entire world. Nowhere have I seen so many intelligent, motivated, and positive people in one place as I have in Bulgaria. That’s why I wanted to create something meaningful for the country.”
The project is already gaining traction, with over 15,000 views on YouTube just a few days after its release. On August 27, the song will be performed live at Club Stroezha in Sofia, together with Deep Zone Project and other well-known Bulgarian artists.
Maxim revealed that the project also carries an international vision. “Viva is a word that’s understood everywhere — in China, in Japan, even at the North Pole. If you say Viva Bulgaria, people get it. That’s the magic of it,” he explained.
When asked whether he plans to release a full album, he smiled and replied: “I haven’t thought about it yet. But when the guys come back in August, we’ll be recording again. I’m currently writing a new song.”
“For me, this is strong marketing. It’s my message to the younger generation: step out of your comfort zone, take risks, fall, get up again. What matters is rising. And Viva Bulgaria tells the world: come to Bulgaria, and feel its shine. You can feel the shine.”
